Jean-Denis Malclès is a painter, poster artist and designer French born January 15, 1912 in Paris where he died May 30, 2002. He was responsible, as an example, for the creation of the costume of Brothers Jacques and several movie posters and theater, including that of Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau.
Jean Denis Malclès also illustrated books: Letters from my Mill of Alphonse Daudet, the full theater of Montherlant, Bel-Ami by Guy de Maupassant, Marcel Pagnol's Topaze or Anouilh's Fables, plus his costume design of Brothers Jacques.
