Large maroufled poster on canvas, late nineteenth, early twentieth century. A large majestic canvas with pattern of ocean liner on the water. Nice traces left by time on the canvas.
Signed lower left, "according Montenard", Parisian painter born in 1849 and died in 1926, known for his landscapes and seascapes, trained in the workshop of Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. He won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, made two paintings realized in 1900 at the Train Bleu at the Gare de Lyon in Paris and he was appointed official painter of the French Navy in 1921.
Simply, a superb decorative panel.
