Large statue, fragmentary face of Apollo on a base with a total height of 65cm with its base.
Perfect reproduction of a fragment of Apollo's head on display in the entrance hall of the Gallery of Antiquities at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
The original dates from the 2nd century BC.
This one was classified from the Hellenistic period: there is no need to praise the extreme elegance and perfection of this sculpture which remains an exemplary piece of Greek art of the time.
Material: composite, a perfect imitation of ancient stone, a superb workmanship for this Art object with an eternal presence.
